Media Crema
Make It
Step 1
Preheat oven to 285° F.
Step 2
Place sugar and water in a small pot; cook over high heat, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes or until a light golden color. Remove from heat and carefully pour into an 8-inch-round cake pan or small individual molds.
Step 3
Heat milk in a separate small pot over medium heat.
Step 4
Beat sweetened condensed milk, media crema, heated milk, beaten eggs and vanilla extract in a bowl with a hand mixer until well combined.
Step 5
Pour mixture over sugar mixture in cake pan or individual molds; place into a deep baking pan. Add warm water to the baking pan until it comes to the middle of the pan or molds, being careful not to get water inside. (This is called a water bath).
Step 6
Bake for 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step 7
Let cool for 10 minutes; refrigerate for 1 hour. Unmold and serve.
